Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-08
This Privacy Policy explains how Moonga.tv, Moonga Bot, and the Moonga Companion Chrome extension (“Moonga”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, store, share, and delete information when you use our website, dashboards, chat tools, clip tools, moderation tools, multistream pages, event tools, and integrations with YouTube, Twitch, Kick, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Moonga is designed to collect only the data needed to run the features you use. Depending on your settings, connected platforms, and extension usage, we may collect or store the following categories of information:
Moonga account and login data
- Moonga account ID and basic account/session information needed to keep you logged in.
- OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, expiry times, scopes, and provider IDs when you connect YouTube, Twitch, or Kick.
- Public platform identifiers returned by OAuth or platform APIs, such as channel ID, user ID, display name, username, handle, profile image, or channel URL.
Website, dashboard, and streamer tool data
- Channel settings, such as linked channels, enabled tools, command settings, moderation settings, event settings, and dashboard preferences.
- Public or connected stream metadata, such as platform, streamer/channel name, stream title, stream/video ID, live/offline status, and timestamps.
- Chat and moderation metadata where enabled, such as platform, channel, username, display name, message text, message ID, timestamps, badges, emotes, moderation actions, command usage, and logs needed for safety and operation.
Moonga Companion extension data
- User notes and username colors that you choose to save through the extension.
- Public Twitch/Kick/YouTube page data needed to display Moonga tools inside supported pages, such as username, usercard/profile information visible on the page, clip links, stream/channel name, and source page URL.
- Extension settings, status, feature toggles, and error/debug information needed to make the extension work reliably.
Clip data
When clip saving or clip detection is enabled, the Moonga Companion extension may detect clips created or shared on Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or supported Moonga pages. When a clip is detected, the extension may send clip information to Moonga.tv.
Clip data may include:
- Platform, such as Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.
- Streamer/channel name, channel ID, username, or public platform identifier.
- Clip title, clip URL, clip ID, video/stream ID, thumbnail URL, and embed/source URL where available.
- Source page, detection source, creation time, detected time, and extension/user account used to save the clip.
- Technical metadata needed to prevent duplicates, debug clip detection, and connect the clip to the correct streamer or Moonga user.
Technical and security data
- IP address, browser type, device/browser information, request logs, API status, errors, rate-limit events, and security/audit events.
- Cookie/session data needed for login, security, preferences, and normal website operation.
2. Information we do not intentionally collect
Moonga does not ask for or store your YouTube, Twitch, or Kick password. Moonga does not intentionally collect payment card data, home address, government ID, private messages, unrelated browsing history, or sensitive personal information. You should not put sensitive personal information inside user notes, commands, clip titles, or other free-text fields.
3. How we use information
We use information only to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Moonga features, including:
- Logging you in and connecting your authorised YouTube, Twitch, or Kick account.
- Running dashboards, channel tools, streamer tools, moderation tools, commands, multistream pages, and event tools.
- Saving, organising, displaying, searching, and de-duplicating clips.
- Showing extension tools inside supported Twitch, Kick, YouTube, and Moonga pages.
- Saving user notes and username colors that you choose to create.
- Detecting errors, preventing abuse, protecting accounts, enforcing rate limits, and keeping the service reliable.
- Complying with legal obligations, platform rules, and security requirements.
4. Moonga Companion Chrome extension
The Moonga Companion Chrome extension adds Moonga tools to supported livestream pages. These tools may include user notes, username colors, image previews, clip detection, clip saving, and Moonga panels inside supported usercards or chat interfaces.
The extension only sends data to Moonga.tv when needed for a Moonga feature, such as saving a note, saving a username color, checking extension login/status, or saving detected clip information. The extension is not designed to collect unrelated browsing history or monitor unrelated websites.
Some extension data may also be stored locally by your browser using extension storage so settings can keep working between page reloads. You can remove local extension data by removing or resetting the extension in Chrome.
5. YouTube API Services
Moonga uses YouTube API Services to provide YouTube-related features, such as connecting a YouTube channel, detecting live streams, reading or displaying live chat where enabled, connecting clips or videos to a streamer, and operating YouTube-related dashboard or moderation tools.
By using YouTube features in Moonga, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy.
YouTube data we may access or store includes:
- OAuth tokens, expiry data, scopes, and Google/YouTube account or channel identifiers you authorise.
- Channel ID, channel title, handle/display name, profile image, and public channel metadata.
- Video ID, stream ID, live chat ID, stream title, live/offline status, timestamps, and related public stream metadata.
- Live chat messages and related metadata where YouTube chat features are enabled.
- Clip/video metadata sent through Moonga tools where enabled.
- API status, quota, error, and security logs needed to operate the service.
6. Twitch
When you connect Twitch or use Moonga tools on Twitch, Moonga may access or store OAuth data and public Twitch account/channel identifiers required for the features you enable. This may include Twitch user ID, channel ID, username, display name, profile image, stream/channel metadata, chat/usercard data visible on the page, clips, clip URLs, thumbnails, and extension tool data such as notes or username colors.
Moonga does not need or store your Twitch password. You can revoke Moonga access through Twitch account settings or by disconnecting the integration where Moonga provides that option.
7. Kick
When you connect Kick or use Moonga tools on Kick, Moonga may access or store OAuth data and public Kick account/channel identifiers required for the features you enable. This may include Kick user ID, channel ID, username, display name, profile image, stream/channel metadata, chat/usercard data visible on the page, clips, clip URLs, thumbnails, and extension tool data such as notes or username colors.
Moonga does not need or store your Kick password. You can revoke Moonga access through Kick account settings or by disconnecting the integration where Moonga provides that option.
8. Limited use and sharing
Moonga does not sell user data. Moonga does not use OAuth tokens, clip data, YouTube API data, Twitch data, Kick data, notes, or username colors for unrelated advertising purposes.
We may share or display data only in limited cases:
- To the Moonga user, streamer, channel owner, moderators, or team members who are allowed to access the relevant channel or feature.
- On public Moonga pages when the feature is intentionally public, such as public clip pages, public multistream pages, or public streamer pages.
- To service providers that help us host, store, secure, debug, or operate Moonga.
- When you explicitly configure Moonga to send an output to another service, such as a Discord notification.
- When required for legal reasons, security, abuse prevention, platform compliance, or to protect Moonga and its users.
Moonga's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy. It is never used for advertising, sold or transferred to data brokers or advertisers, and it is never used to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine learning models.
9. Cookies and local storage
Moonga may use cookies, session storage, local storage, and extension storage to keep you logged in, remember settings, protect accounts, and make website or extension features work. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but some features may stop working if cookies or storage are disabled.
10. Data retention and deletion
We keep data only as long as needed for the service, security, legal obligations, abuse prevention, debugging, moderation, analytics, or user-requested features. Retention periods may vary per channel, feature, platform, or configuration.
YouTube data
- Statistics derived from YouTube data are never displayed for a period longer than 30 days, to any user, including Moonga staff and administrators.
- Moonga verifies every connected account's authorisation on a rotating schedule, so each connected account is checked at least once every 30 days.
- If an authorisation has been revoked, the account is marked as revoked, the stored tokens are deleted, and the integration stops working until the user reconnects.
OAuth tokens and connected platform data
- If you disconnect a platform inside Moonga or ask us to disconnect/delete an integration, we will delete or disable the relevant OAuth tokens as soon as reasonably possible.
- If you revoke access through YouTube/Google, Twitch, or Kick, Moonga stops using the revoked token for future API requests. Revocation is detected at the next use of the token, and at the latest by the periodic verification described above.
- Some limited logs may remain temporarily for legal, security, abuse-prevention, debugging, or backup reasons.
YouTube revocation
You can revoke Moonga’s access to your Google/YouTube account at any time from your Google account permissions page: Google Security Settings / third-party access. You can also request deletion or disconnection by contacting us.
Clip data and extension data
You may request deletion of clip data, notes, username colors, account data, or integration data connected to your Moonga account where applicable. Public clips or public stream metadata may remain if needed for public pages, moderation history, duplicate prevention, legal/security reasons, or where the data is not reasonably connected to a verified account deletion request.
Backups and logs
Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups or operational logs for a limited period until those backups or logs expire or are overwritten. We do not use backup copies for normal product features after deletion.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect data, including:
- All traffic to and from Moonga is served over HTTPS/TLS.
- OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest. They are never sent to the browser, to overlays, or to any third party.
- Access to channel data is controlled per channel and per role, and is enforced on the server for every request, not only in the interface.
- Google user data is processed and stored on servers located in the European Union.
- Administrative access to production systems is restricted to the Moonga operator.
No online service is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or disconnection of your Moonga account or integrations where applicable. Some data may need to be retained for security, legal, abuse-prevention, public-interest, platform-compliance, or operational reasons.
13. Children
Moonga is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online platform accounts. Do not use Moonga if you are not allowed to use the relevant connected platforms.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
